TRINITY CONFECTIONS

A Final Cup of Tea… And A New Chapter

Steeped in Tradition for 17 Beautiful Years

Seventeen years ago, Trinity Confections began with a dream, a collection of treasured family recipes, beautiful china, three little girls, and a whole lot of love.

From the very beginning, Trinity was more than a tea room. It was a place steeped in tradition, brewed with love, and served with a little piece of our hearts.

Those traditions began long before Trinity opened its doors, in the kitchens of my mother and grandmother. They taught me that food was never simply about what was served on a plate. It was about the people gathered around the table, the conversations shared, and the memories made.

When I opened Trinity, I wanted to share that feeling with others. What I never imagined was how many wonderful people would become part of our family along the way.

Over the years, we have poured thousands of cups of tea, baked countless scones and our famous spice cookies, prepared comforting pots of soup, and set our tables for celebrations, friendships, and quiet afternoons together. Somewhere along the way, our customers became our Trinity Family.

And now, after 17 beautiful years, it is time to share some bittersweet news:
Trinity Confections is closing its doors.

Some chapters close not because the story is over, but because love calls us in another direction.

I have made the deeply personal decision to pause the life and business I have spent 17 years building so that I can care for my ailing mother. The woman who helped shape my life, taught me the traditions I brought into this tea room, and inspired my love of cooking and baking now needs me. Just as she devoted so much of her life to caring for me, it is now my privilege to care for her.

Closing Trinity is one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. But there are moments when family must come before everything else, even the dreams we have worked a lifetime to build. I am not walking away from my dream. I am putting it on hold for someone who helped make that dream possible; my mother.

To everyone who joined us for tea, celebrated a milestone at our tables, recommended us to a friend, or simply walked through our doors: thank you. You gave us the extraordinary privilege of being part of your lives.

The china may be carefully put away. The ovens may grow quiet. The final cup of tea has been poured. But the love that filled this little tea room will never disappear.

While one chapter of our book is closing, there will be a pause before the next one is written — a time for family, caregiving, and honoring the woman whose love inspired so much of what Trinity became.

And when the time is right, we hope to begin a delicious new chapter, centered on the spectacular homemade soups you have come to know and love. We are exploring what that next venture might look like. Nothing is ready to be announced just yet, but we hope you will stay with us as the story unfolds.

For now, family needs me. The next chapter can wait.

Thank you for 17 wonderful years of support!

With love and gratitude,
Janine, Alice, Lily, & Annabelle
